Shinimicas is situated on the Shinimicas River in Nova Scotia, Canada. It was the Micmac (First Nations/Native American) people that gave it the name, which means 'Shining Water'. Shinimicas Honey and Herb Farm is on the banks of the Shinimicas River. From here the crystal clear waters meander slowly through the gently sloping countryside until, a few miles on, they reach the sea.
Many come to fish these waters, catching trout and sometimes salmon, but mainly to enjoy the fresh air and tranquility of this special place.
